Who are we?

Assisted approx 9000 unprivileged beneficiaries, we are a team of spirited individuals, from diverse backgrounds and expertise who believe “Unity In Diversity” and can make a difference and that, it is important we return what we got from society by helping to uplift the way of living among our unprivileged communities. Our beginning was simple and with sincere intentions, to create support structures that would help provide tools like education and public healthcare services to marginalized communities thereby alleviating poverty. The Founder has been associated with various mainstream social service organizations in India since his early days.

It was twilight of 30th January, 2011, the 63rd death anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi i.e Mahatma Gandhi, when a professional team of seven like-minded individuals came together over a coffee table at a theme park in Mira Road, Mumbai with an idea, purpose and commitment to empower and impact the lives of the  underprivileged and marginalized Indian communities and discussed the formation of a non-governmental organization (NGO) that would address many pressing issues related to education, public health and poverty alleviation.

Christened as Helping Hand Foundation, HHF was officially founded in the year 2011, (registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860 & The Maharashtra Public Act, 1950). The name connotes the efforts to lend a helping hand to every needy especially the unprivileged and marginalized communities.

6th April each year is celebrated as “Foundation Day” of Helping Hand Foundation.
