The first wave of Covid-19 in early 2020 proved extremely difficult for the government agencies to implement Covid-19 Protocols particularly testing, treating, isolation, many fake news of alleged “kidney theft” by doctors, monetary benefits by police and medical staff surfaced on social media linked to areas of Gorai, Mumbai, certain mainstream press also carried the said fake news in state of Punjab. The local municipal Health Dept. medics and para-medics faced strong opposition and threats from villagers from carrying out their duties to mitigate Covid-19

Free Dissemination of Covid-19 Facts online
Taking Suo-moto cognizance of the above problem area during a pandemic, we collaborated with the police, Govt Medical Team, Municipal Councillors, Village Heads, Group Heads, Religious head and disseminated facts of covid-19 along with preventive measures and covid-19 management protocols vide online and offline mode through PPT presentations, group discussions through local church platforms.
Outcome
25000 beneficiaries directly and indirectly benefitted from the above intervention and the government medical team faced lesser resistance from the public to carry out their duties in mitigating Covid-19
